COMPOSITION:

Ketoconazole- IP –2% W/W

Cetrimide- IP 0.5% W/W

Excipiets- Aloevera, ALMOND OIL, Soap noodles

INDICATIONS: Symptoms will vary and depend greatly on the organ systems affected by the fungus. However, animals may have a history of problems for weeks or months, be especially sluggish, and (in less than 50 percent of animals) have a mild fever. Other symptoms include: Skin ulceration Enlarged lymph nodes , Vomiting and diarrhea ,Lack of appetite Nasal discharge It can also infect the stomach and the intestines, entering through the gastrointestinal tract. Mode of action safetik Soap is an anti-fungal soap that contains ketoconazole as an active ingredient. It is used in the treatment of various fungal infections of the skin. It works by damaging the cell membrane of the fungus and eventually kills it. This action controls and stops the spread of fungal infections.

Side Effects and Drug Reactions: Ketoconazole may result in these side effects:- Inhibited synthesis of cortisone,Dizziness,Vomiting,Diarrhea,Loss of appetite, Sensitivity to light Ketoconazole also blocks the systhesis of cortisone in the adrenal gland, which in some cases may be a harmful side effect, but when used correctly, it’s an effective treatment against Cushing’s syndrome. Ketoconazole may react with these drugs:- Aminophylline ,Cisapride ,Astemizole ,Triazolam ,Cyclosporin Methylprednisolone ,Mitotane ,Phenytoin sodium ,Rifampin ,Theophylline ,Warfarin sodium ,H2 Blockers ,Antacids

DO NOT GIVE KETOCONAZOLE TO PREGNANT PETS USE CAUTION WHEN ADMINISTERING THIS DRUG TO PETS WITH LIVER DISEASE

Use of SAFETIK Soap: Fungal skin infections A fungal skin infection is a skin disease caused by fungus. It is also commonly referred to as mycosis. KETOCONAZOLE 2% Soap is used to treat fungal skin infections. It helps in relieving symptoms such as redness, rash and itching associated with athlete's foot (a fungal infection that happens due to excessive sweating of the feet), jock itch (a fungal infection that occurs on the soft and moist areas of the body like the genitals and inner thighs), ringworm infection (a fungal foot infection that begins between the toes and spreads to the toenails), seborrheic dermatitis (a fungal infection that causes redness, itching rash with flaky scales

SAFETIK SOAP should be used only as directed by your veterinarian.

Wash your hands and the affected area with water. Apply the soap gently on the affected area and allow it to remain for 2-3 minutes. Rinse thoroughly and repeat the same if required. Avoid contact with eyes, nose and mouth. Wash immediately in case of accidental contact.
